Ultra Health Ocean Pollution and Purified Omegas

It used to be a staple to buy Cod Liver Oil capsules at the drugstore. Inexpensive and easy to get, every mom knew it was good for kids. Kids learned about it in Gr. 2 health class.

Not any more. Our ocean pollution has reached a degree of danger. To the fish in it, and to humans who need fish as a food source.

Mercury is such a potent poison as to cause brain damage. It is linked to Alzheimer's Disease, dementia, memory loss and more.

It is only one contaminant to avoid to preserve our brain health. Or to create our brain health, if we have smoked, taken drugs (recreational and medicinal), vaccinated, or abused alcohol.

Fortunately we can now buy puriifed omega 3 oils, from fish oils that have had the contaminants removed. This is also referred to as pharmaceutical grade fish oil.

However, omega 3's are oils, and any oil can go rancid after we've eaten it! We must ingest anti-oxidants to keep this oil healthy after ingestion. Anti-oxidants are found in fruits, vegetables and salads, so that is easy to take care of. Dark berries and dark tropical fruits are especially high in anti-oxidants. Blueberries, noni juice, mangosteen juice, acaia juice, black currant juice, and pomegranate juice are new stars in the health food arena.

Ultra health can mean choosing better brand processed and frozen foods. Some brands have less or no food colorings, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners and other additives. It is better to avoid MSG, but impossible unless you prepare all your own foods.

Some of us don't discover nutrition until we find out that a parent has been diagnosed with heart disease, early Alzheimer's, arterial disease or Type II Diabetes. And since we can eat right with an awareness that there is a likelihood of us ending up with the same conditions, we start searching for anti-aging nutritional information.

Many people now focus on creating healthy homes that pollute less. What we wash down the drain ends up in the ocean eventually, or in the water table. If we can prevent pollution, why not?

Eco-friendly biodegradable household products can lessen ocean pollution. I used to find the 'green brands' more expensive and harder to get. Now that one can get almost anything shopping on line, I find I can get the eco-friendly products for the same price as the regular detergent and chemical type cleaners. I buy them in larger quantities and have them shipped right to my door. That is easier on me, and on my gas usage.

Ocean pollution has led us to brain pollution. We can still strive for ultra health and brain health by getting good purified omegas into our diet, discover more about anti-aging nutrition, and take good care of ourselves and our loved ones.
